My Mystic Muse By Kaushik Dutta The busy routine in life of mine Somewhere has suppressed the poetic charm within. Rusted are words, sentence lost. Phonetics, rhyming, syllable all going wrong. In order to revive and pen down something I surrendered to nature’s lap that evening. Sitting beside the river my mind For hours and hours only thought. But nothing jotted that I could plot. The setting sun then fell on my eyes. And I was just about to cry. I saw a pair of legs in the river sweet Waves came to and fro to her feet. Are you my muse or goddess? I wanted to speak. Shining and dazzling her jewellery Just like a fairy she flew away in the dusk. I eagerly wanted to see her before we part The silhouette figure slowly made depart. I thank you for the blessing and grace At last I could write a page. My Mystic muse to you I dedicate this. Even if you never meet me anyway Still I can rest well in peace.
